PHOENIX — A man who was found dead in a Phoenix road had at least one gunshot wound, according to officials with the city's police department.

Officers were called to the area of McDowell Road and 35th Avenue for reports of an injured person on Oct. 4, just before 2:30 a.m. They found the victim, identified as 27-year-old Bryan Richmond, in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

No one had been arrested and Phoenix detectives continue to investigate.
