PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man was found dead near an intersection in Phoenix after being shot Saturday morning.

Phoenix Police say around 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the area of 37th Drive and McDowell Road for reports of a person being injured.

When they arrived, they found 27-year-old Bryan Desjone Richmond just north of the intersection. Police say he had been shot at least once. Fire crews arrived on scene, and Richmond was pronounced dead.

Detectives responded to the scene and began processing evidence. They are still working to determine what led up to the incident.
