LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — Some of Broadway’s most powerful female playwrights and choreographers have been coming to Lincoln for the last few weeks to bring Tina Turner’s story to life.
It’s taken weeks for this crew to get here, their technical rehearsals combining costuming, light and sound production, with the actors, singers and dancers on stage.
And it’s all to honor the queen of rock and roll herself — Tina Turner.
“It’s a very female, powerful, straightforward team that we like having worked on the show,” said Executive Producer Jayna Neagle. “Like Tina Turner herself.”
Born in Tennessee in 1939, Tina Turner rose to fame and was eventually inducted into the rock-and-roll hall of fame after a career spanning five decades.
