LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The first half of Sunday will likely be quiet but the chance for showers and storms increases into the afternoon and evening.

A cold front advancing across the state will spark these showers and storms, some of which could be severe. That risk starts Saturday evening out in western Nebraska and shifts to southcentral and southeastern Nebraska Sunday. Damaging winds and large hail are the main concerns.

Timing everything out, showers and storms come to an end late Saturday evening to the west. Activity then holds off until later in the day Sunday and continuing into Monday as well.

Meanwhile, our temperatures will start to fall Sunday, ranging from the low 60s to the low 80s.

We will likely struggle to climb to 60 degrees come Monday!

Another warmup is on the way
