MONTROSE, Colo. (KREX) — Steady progress in establishing the City of Montrose's first-of-its-kind childcare center, which will serve families of public workers, first responders and the general public, continues to be made following the approval of a construction budget and anticipated finalization of a five-year partnership with a childcare provider.

"Childcare is one of the most critical needs for families living and working in Montrose, and we are committed to finding ways to expand access across the community," said Community Development Director Jace Hochwalt. "This new center will provide much-needed support for local public employees, first responders, and community members who have struggled to find reliable childcare."
