Columnist Graham Couch grades Michigan State’s football team after its 38-27 loss at Nebraska on Saturday on a scale of 1-10.

OFFENSE: 3

There were a couple long touchdown drives that deserve credit, especially the 17-play, 75-yard drive in the first quarter that kept MSU’s horrible start from becoming a disaster. And MSU converted four of five fourth downs (with some good runs) and scored touchdowns on all four red zone opportunities. The problem is the rest of it was largely pretty awful, including going 2-for-14 on third downs and the pass protection struggles, which then aided in Aidan Chiles’ reverting to last year’s instincts to tuck and run, which at times was also MSU’s best offense.
