WASHINGTON, CT (WFSB) - One person was seriously injured after a crash in Washington on Saturday evening.

State police said two cars were involved in the crash near Church Hill Road.

One person was hospitalized with serious injuries.

The road remained closed for the investigation.

Anyone traveling in the area was asked to find an alternate route.

No further information was released.
