EMORY, Va. – The triple option attack in football creates nightmares for defensive coordinators and defenders.

The Emory & Henry Wasps faced a potent triple option offense on Saturday and came away with a dream finish.

With a heavy dose of discipline, unranked E&H allowed 164 total yards en route to a 19-13 win over the No. 22 Carson- Newman Eagles in a South Atlantic Conference headliner at Fred Selfe Stadium.

Just one week ago, the Wasps recorded six sacks and gave up just 271 total yards in a 42-13 defeat of Anderson. Moments after that game, E&H began intensive study on the Carson-Newman offense with defensive coordinator Mitchell Walters.
