KENNESAW -- Kennesaw Mountain fell just short of a second straight win with a 28-21 loss to Alexander on Friday in a Region 5AAAAA game at Cobb EMC/Mustang Stadium.
The Mustangs (2-4, 1-2) led 21-14 at halftime, but the Cougars (2-5, 1-3) outscored them 14-0 in the second half to secure the win.
Kennesaw Mountain was aiming for its second consecutive victory after defeating Lithia Springs 37-29 two weeks ago, as well as its third win in four games.
Quarterback Chris Miller completed 20 of 36 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns as well as running for another score to lead the Mustangs.
