The Sioux City Musketeers won their home opener on Friday over the Sioux Falls Stampede.

Sioux City scored twice in the final period to squeeze out a 5-4 victory in USHL action at Tyson Events Center in Sioux City.
The Musketeers (2-1-1-0) went into the final period tied at three after both sides scored once in the opening frame and twice in the second.
Jefferis scored twice in the third period proved to be the difference.
Eight minutes into the game, Brent Solomon gave Sioux Falls a 1-0 lead as he scored off assists from JJ Monteiro and Anthony Bongo.
Sioux City evened it 3 ½ minutes later when Mason Stenger scored his first goal of the season unassisted.
