Moody Police K-9 receives new bullet, stab proof vest through donation

MOODY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Moody Police Department’s K-9 has received a donation from a national organization to help stay safe in the field.

Deke serves as the K-9 for the Moody Police Department and thanks to the non-profit Vested Interest in K9s, Inc ., Deke is even safer in the field.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has donated a bullet and stab proof vest to Deke. The vest is even embroidered with the sentiment, “honoring those who served and sacrificed.”

According to the organization’s website, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501c(3) non-profit whose mission is to provide bullet and stab-protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the country.
