BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Center Complex (BJCC) is asking for your help as they prepare to celebrate 50 years.

The BJCC is asking fans to share memorabilia and collectibles to help celebrate the Legacy Arena’s 50th anniversary. Organizers say this can range from newspaper clippings to programs to old ticket stubs.

Since it opened in 1976, the BJCC has served as a venue for artists like Elvis Presley, Prince, Elton John, Whitney Houston, Cher, Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin and KISS.

The BJCC clarified you aren’t expected to truly part with your memorabilia to assist, however, you can if you want to. The BJCC says they will accept photos or scans, and on a case-by-case basis can set up temporary loans.
