MADISON, (WKOW) — The Alzheimer’s Association Wisconsin chapter hosted its annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday at Warner Park.

The event aimed to raise awareness, support caregivers, and fund research.

“Well, today’s the Walk’s End Alzheimer’s. It’s the day we look forward to, each and every year, the community coming together to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s and all other dementia,” said Dave Grahams, executive director for the Wisconsin chapter. Grahams highlighted the importance of the event for those affected by dementia.

“People need to know that they’re a part of a much larger community of individuals who are trying to advance this cause, whether they’re living with Alzheimer’s or some other form of dementia or caregiving,” he said.
