MADISON, (WKOW) — Gilda’s Club hosted its annual Gilda’s Run/Walk on Sunday.

The event aimed to support families affected by cancer through a 5K run or two-mile walk.

“We have our Gilda’s Run Walk happening today, and we are looking for about 1000 people to come out to run a 5K or walk two miles with us and fundraise for Gilda’s Club. So we keep all of our programs free for families facing cancer,” said Lania Stens, executive director and CEO of Gilda’s Club. Stens emphasized the necessity of fundraising for the club’s operations.
