MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A crash involving two motorcycles killed one rider and injured another near Mesa Gateway Airport on Sunday morning.

Just before 10 a.m., Mesa first responders were dispatched to the area of Sossaman Road and Ulysses Avenue .

One motorcycle rider has been pronounced dead, and the other was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Mesa Police Department.

Detectives are working to determine the cause of the collision and are working to notify next of kin.
