WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- A 14-year-old boy was arrested in connection with a Saturday armed carjacking in Southeast D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
Officers responded shortly before 3 p.m. to the 700 block of 8th Street SE, where a victim reported they had been threatened by two people who demanded their moped.
The victim stated that one of the robbers had a handgun, and the two suspects drove off on the moped, which was found shortly after in the Navy Yard area.
There, the teenage boy from Southeast D.C. was arrested and charged with armed carjacking. His identity has not been released.
