WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a 15-year-old boy was shot in Southeast D.C. on Sunday.
According to police, officers received reports of a shooting around 6:20 p.m. in the 2600 block of Stanton Road, SE.
There, the teen was found conscious and breathing, suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body.
Police said he was transported to the hospital by DC Fire and EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.
