The Bengals were routed in each of their past two games without starting quarterback Joe Burrow, but Cincinnati coach Zac Taylor insisted this week that his confidence in backup Jake Browning is “unwavering.”

So much so, in fact, that the Bengals haven’t had any discussions with other NFL teams about trading for a more proven quarterback with the Nov. 4 trade deadline less than a month away, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. 4

Accomplished quarterbacks such as Russell Wilson of the Giants, Kirk Cousins of the Falcons and Joe Flacco of the Browns currently serve as backups on their teams.

Burrow is expected to miss at least three months after undergoing toe surgery in September. 4
