CINCINNATI. (WILX) - Detroit continued its winning ways with a 37-24 victory over the Bengals on Sunday afternoon.
The Lions received the opening kick-off and went down the field with the drive being capped off with a Jared Goff 10-yard touchdown pass to Sam LaPorta to give Detroit a 7-0 lead.
On the Bengals’ first drive of the second quarter, Jake Browning’s pass was picked off by Amik Robertson. Detroit capitalized when David Montgomery threw it to Brock Wright for the 3-yard touchdown to extend the Lions’ lead to 14-0. Kerby Joseph picked up an interception as well, and Detroit went to halftime with a 14-3 lead.
Cincinnati’s second play from scrimmage of the second half was another interception, with Browning getting picked by Alex Anzalone. Detroit would once again capitalize with G
