A hefty five-figure taxpayer-funded sum has been spent on teaching one member of NSW Premier Chris Minns' cabinet how to front up to media.

A Freedom of Information Act disclosure has shown that $10,014 had been spent on ‘training’ for NSW Domestic Violence ­Prevention Minister Jodie Harrison.

The sum, which made up well over half of the total $18,177 spent on ministerial training purposes in the last financial year, had specifically gone towards “media training” for Ms Harrison, according to The Daily Telegraph.

The training was “standard”, the masthead has been told.

The publication also reported that more than $31,000 had been spent on training for the cabinet over the previous two years.
