LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Two teenage girls are in the hospital after a shooting in the Chickasaw neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Officers responded to a report of a ShotSpotter in the 3300 block of Greenwood Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5. While en route to the location, the call was upgraded to a shooting.
First responders arrived at the scene, but were unable to find a victim. Police were then advised to respond to the 3300 block of West Broadway on a call of a shooting victim arriving at that location.
At the new scene, police found two teenage girls, believed to be 16 years old, who had both been shot.
Both victims were taken to UofL Hospital by EMS and are expected to survive.
