The Buffalo Bills have suffered their first loss of the season.

Drake Maye and old friend Stefon Diggs put on a show against a sloppy Buffalo Bills team that committed three turnovers and 11 penalties, and Andy Borregales connected on a 52-yard field goal with 15 seconds remaining, giving the Patriots a 23-20 win over the Bills on Sunday night at Highmark Stadium.

Don't look now, but the Bills (4-1) hold just a one-game lead in the AFC East over the Patriots (3-2).

Maye threw for 273 yards and completed his first fourth-quarter comeback in the NFL. Diggs, playing in Orchard Park for the first time since he left the Bills, had 10 catches for 146 yards.

The Bills face the Falcons in Atlanta next Monday night, then have a bye week.
