The Election Commission may announce the dates for the Bihar Assembly elections today. A press conference is scheduled at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi at 4 PM.

The model code of conduct will come into effect as soon as the elections are officially announced.

The entire election process is expected to be completed by November 22, 2025. Several political parties have requested the Election Commission to schedule voting after Chhath. The state may see voting conducted in two phases.

In the last assembly elections of 2020, Bihar voted in three phases, from October 20 to November 7, with results declared on November 10.

In 2015, the state held elections in five phases, from October 12 to November 5, and results were announced on November 8.
