Rhamondre Stevenson put the ball on the ground again in Buffalo.
A first quarter fumble was the veteran running back’s third of the season and 10th in his last 20 games. After catching a pass from Drake Maye, Stevenson let Bills linebacker Shaq Thompson punch the ball out as he was going to the ground.
Mike Vrabel didn’t glue Stevenson to the bench though.
The back continued to get carries — his backup Antonio Gibson went down with a knee injury in the second quarter — and Stevenson wound up scoring two touchdowns after the fumble in New England’s 23-20 upset of the Bills.
After the win, Vrabel weighed in on where things go from here with Stevenson.
