New England Patriots running back Antonio Gibson suffered a serious injury in the team's 23-20 victory over the Buffalo Bills. Early in the contest, the veteran running back took a hard hit while returning a kickoff. While Gibson left the field on his own power, he was moving gingerly and was quickly ruled out after a short stint in the medical tent.

While we do not know the severity of the injury as of this posting, it's safe to assume the veteran won't see the field for a while. The Patriots had a weak running back depth chart, and the lack of depth is even more obvious following the Antonio Gibson injury.
