FALL RIVER, Mass. —
Investigators are probing a fatal stabbing reported early Monday in Fall River and have a suspect in custody, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.
Fall River police received a 911 call around 2:15 a.m. for a report of a person stabbed at 57 Chesworth St. Officers and EMS found a 53-year-old man with a chest injury, according to the district attorney's office.
The victim was taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later, the announcement said.
Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office and Fall River Police are leading the investigation into the stabbing, according to the district attorney's office.
