CLEVELAND, Ohio - The West Boulevard entrance ramp to Interstate 90 west is scheduled to close on Tuesday and remain closed for repaving work though mid-December.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is advising motorists to instead take Lorain Avenue west to West 117th Street to enter I-90 going west.

About 7,000 vehicles a day normally enter I-90 west at West Boulevard, and about 6,000 at West 117th Street.

The repaving work is part of a $173 million overhaul of I-90 spanning from West Boulevard in Cleveland to Hilliard Boulevard in Rocky River.

Plans call for new pavement, upgraded median barriers, wider shoulders, improved drainage and modern overhead lighting. The work is expected to last through October 2028.
