A Montgomery County woman was arrested in Brazoria County early Saturday morning for allegedly shooting her four kids, killing two of them, according to the Brazoria County sheriff’s office.

Oninda Romelus, 31, was charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The sheriff’s office said in a statement that she had allegedly shot all four of her children inside a vehicle.

A 13-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl were killed, and an eight-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl were hospitalized and stabilized, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities attributed their life-saving measures to having “saved at least one child’s life.”
