A "shining star" Scots carer has been nominated for a prestigious National Care Award.

The team at a Sanctuary Care home in East Kilbride are celebrating after their activities coordinator was shortlisted for the Care Newcomer Award.

Rahela Calin, of Westwood House Care Home, has gone head-to-head with nominees from across from England and Scotland to be selected.
