Three separate Florida football players earned SEC weekly awards on Monday, Oct. 6.
The honors come after the Gators’ 29-21 upset win over No. 7 Texas .
The conference’s Offensive Player of the Week went to quarterback DJ Lagway , who threw for 298 yards, two touchdowns, with 21 completed passes of 28 attempts.
The SEC Freshman of the Week went to wide receiver Dallas Wilson , who put together a historic night. In the first game of his career, Wilson recorded six catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns. His figures were the most-ever in a player’s debut game, and Wilson is also the first UF freshman to record at least 100 receiving yards since 2016.
In addition, Taylor Spierto also earned the SEC Co-Special Teams Player of the Week. Spierto delivered a blocked punt for a safety.
