MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A house fire in Janesville resulted in no injuries, the Janesville Fire Department said Monday.
Members of JFD responded to a residential fire around 7:45 p.m. Sunday in the 1400 block of Starling Lane, the department said.
Firefighters arrived at the property and saw smoke and flames coming from the roof of the house. The fire, which was contained to the house attic, was quickly extinguished by the first responders.
The homeowner was at the residence at the time of the fire but got out safely before first responders arrived, Janesville Fire Department said.
Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire.
Janesville Fire Department was assisted by the Janesville Police Department and Alliant Energy.
