MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A 44-year-old woman was hospitalized over the weekend after police found her suffering from stab wounds, the Madison Police Department reported on Monday.

MPD stated officers were called around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday to the 4800 block of Hayes Road.

Police said the woman was suffering from leg injuries. The woman told authorities who attacked her, MPD reported.

Officials said a suspect was later found and they arrested the individual.

The 67-year-old suspect faces charges of second-degree reckless endangering safety, substantial battery, and domestic disorderly conduct
