SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Fuller Center for Housing NWLA and Shreveport Common, Inc. partnered together to host "Over the Edge," a fundraiser to improve housing and blight in Shreveport by having people raise $1500 to rappel down the Fairmount Apartments. The executive director of the Fuller Center, Lee Jeter Sr., says this event brings the need for housing to the attention of many people.
"It's just been a great opportunity, and it brings a lot of awareness to the need for affordable housing. People are able to see what efforts are being made to remake our downtown area for the city of Shreveport.
