LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - After four consecutive home games, the Nebraska football team travels to Maryland this week for a 2:30pm contest on Saturday. Third-year head coach Matt Rhule said the Huskers are changing up their travel itinerary and will leave on Thursday. In Rhule’s first two seasons, Nebraska traveled the day before the game with a light on-site walkthrough.
Rhule admitted to being “high maintenance” while traveling and wants to put his players in the best chance to succeed on Saturday. Rhule said nutrition, sleep, and punctuality are factors in the itinerary change. Nebraska plans to have a brief practice Friday at a local high school on the east coast.
Nebraska versus Maryland will be televised on Big Ten Network.
