Hot off the heels of her new album, pop superstar Taylor Swift has been accused of using AI slop to promote the record.

As part of a treasure hunt-style promo, Swift challenged her fans to find 12 “orange doors” spread across 12 cities and scan accompanying QR codes. These codes unlock short videos, one of which has been making its rounds on social media — for all the wrong reasons, unfortunately.

One clip, which features an Art Nouveau-style bar — presumably meant to invoke the album’s title, “Life of a Showgirl” — bears the now-infamous hallmarks of generative AI use.
