ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn — A beloved name in Mexican dining has officially made its return to Minnesota. Chi-Chi’s , the legendary restaurant known for its festive atmosphere, held its grand opening to a line of people at St. Louis Park's West End on Monday morning.
The relaunch marks a significant milestone for the brand, now under the leadership of Michael McDermott, the son of Chi-Chi’s co-founder Marno McDermott. Marno McDermott and former Green Bay Packers player Max McGee launched Chi-Chi's in Minneapolis back in 1975.
“Chi-Chi’s is back stronger than ever,” McDermott said in a statement. “We’re bringing back the food, energy, and fun that people love, now with a fresh twist for a whole new generation.”
