MARSHALL, Mo - A Marshall man is behind bars in Saline County after driving drunk and crashing his SUV into a residence.
According to a probable cause statement, Marshall Police responded early Saturday morning for a report of an SUV crashing into a resident and then leaving the scene. An officer was able to locate an SUV matching the vehicle description. The vehicle driven by 28-year-old AK Soiter add significant front-end damage and was leaking fluids.
Soiter attempted to evade police, but the SUV would properly accelerate and he pulled over. He was found to be intoxicated during the stop and attempted to damage the inside of a police car after being arrested. A quarter full vodka bottle was found inside Soiter's SUV.
