A man was arrested Monday in connection to several burglaries in the St. Claude neighborhood, including churches and a restaurant, New Orleans police said.
Robert Shavers, 46, was booked on five counts of simple burglary of a business as well as simple criminal damage to property, according to Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office records
Alcohol, ice cream, cleaning supplies, and toilet paper were among the items detectives believe Shavers stole from two churches — one of them twice — plus a day care center and a restaurant.
The businesses were located at the following blocks: 1300 block of Alvar Street, the 4000 & 4100 blocks of St. Claude Avenue, and the 4200 block of North Derbigny Street.
Shavers was caught on video surveillance while stealing, police said. He was booked at the Orleans
