PROVO, Utah – BYU football QB Bear Bachmeier is well on his way to earning Big 12 Freshman of the Year after securing his third Freshman of the Week honor in a 38-24 win over West Virginia .

Bachmeier set a career-high with 351 passing yards and a touchdown, finishing 14 yards shy of the program record. He added 43 yards on the ground and set the program’s freshman QB record for rushing touchdowns in a season with five.
