TALLAHASSEE — Hurricanes wide receiver CJ Daniels put Miami ahead of rival Florida State with a short touchdown pass in the first quarter on Saturday night.
He celebrated with some dance moves, and when the camera approached him, he had some fun. Daniels, playing in his first Miami-FSU game, mocked the Seminoles’ war chant. When he scored again in the third quarter of the No. 2 Hurricanes’ win, he did it a second time.
Daniels, who was also wearing a tribute to his late teammate at LSU, Kyren Lacy, on his eye black, he said after the game that he probably should have tempered his excitement.
“I could have controlled my emotions a little more,” Daniels said. “I think I let my emotions get the best of me.”
