The Marion County Prosecutor and the Indianapolis police chief addressed criticism that was thrown at them by top state and local Republicans after news broke that Fox Sports analyst Mark Sanchez had been stabbed on Oct. 4.

Indiana Gov. Mike Braun and Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith quickly blamed the city's law enforcement for the stabbing of Sanchez, 38, stating that local leaders' refusal "to prosecute criminals and protect citizens" had allowed Indianapolis to slide "into lawlessness."
