AUBURN — The first game on Auburn football 's 2026 schedule is seeing a venue change, as the program announced Monday, Oct. 6, that its contest against Baylor on Sept. 5, 2026, will move from Jordan-Hare Stadium to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The reason for the change, according to a release, largely pertains to name, image and likeness (NIL), with the matchup "creating a first-of-its-kind opportunity for Auburn student-athletes to engage in (NIL) activations tied directly to ticket sales, the .. game, and surrounding events."
