SHAWNEE, Kan. -- Construction is underway on a new build-to-rent community in Shawnee.

Material Capital Partners, along with financial partner Bluerock, secured a $77.8 million construction loan from Bank OZK and started construction on Harmony at Clear Creek.

The project will deliver 97 single-family rental houses and 20 townhome buildings with 91 units just east of Kansas Highway 7, near 64th and Silverheel streets.

Harmony at Clear Creek will offer a combination of three- and four-bedroom floorplans. Single-family homes will range in size from about 1,800 to 2,400 square feet, and the townhomes will be between 1,400 and 1,700 square feet. Each unit will include a two-car garage, private patio with a fenced backyard and mudroom space.
