COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The Greater Columbus Fair will not take place this year as the Columbus Civic Center works to secure a new fair vendor.

Officials say the decision allows time to reassess operations and ensure that future fairs meet community expectations for quality and safety.

“Our goal is to provide the best possible entertainment experience while responsibly managing all associated costs,” the Columbus Consolidated Government said in a statement.
