A man accused of shoving a federal officer after he was pushed to move away from the driveway of Portland’s U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building Saturday allegedly then threw a water bottle at the officer and is now facing a federal felony charge.

Jairin Anzaldua-Ervin is alleged to have used one hand to shove a federal officer’s hand away from him after a Federal Protective Service inspector moved to push him back off the ICE building’s driveway, a federal affidavit said.

The federal inspector then unholstered his pepper spray canister, yelled ‘Get back,” sprayed Anzaldua-Ervin with his aerosol canister and pushed Anzaldua-Ervin a second time, before Anzaldua-Ervin threw a water bottle that struck the inspector’s chest, according to the affidavit.
