HUEYTOWN, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Authorities are investigating after they said a teenager was shot Monday afternoon, Oct. 6, in Hueytown.
Hueytown Police were called to the 4300 block of 15th Street around 1:50 p.m.
When they arrived, a teenager was found shot next to his vehicle.
Police said their investigation revealed the teen and the suspect in the shooting knew each other and were involved in some sort of altercation.
Authorities placed Hueytown High School on lockdown as an extreme precaution after they learned of the shooting while police could make sure there was no threat there.
Soon after, police said they believe this is an isolated incident between two people and do not believe there is any threat to the community.
