EAGAN, Minn. — When Minnesota Vikings kicker Will Reichard makes good contact, he rarely misses.

He began his NFL career last season by connecting on his first 14 field-goal attempts, and when he finally missed in Week 8, it was revealed that he'd sustained a quad injury during the game, resulting in a four-week stint on injured reserve . This season, Reichard hit on all eight of his attempts, including a 62-yarder in Week 3 against Cincinnati, but on Sunday, his first miss appeared a bit off.

Reichard lined up for a potentially game-tying 51-yard field goal attempt in the fourth quarter Sunday in London against Cleveland, but when the ball left his foot, it sailed wide right -- several yards right.

"He told me he thought he hit it well," Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell told reporters
