COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)-Get ready for one last taste of summer warmth before cooler air settles in! Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s over the next couple of days—well above average for this time of year—as we stay ahead of an approaching cold front.

But change is coming...

That front will bring a few more showers, likely Thursday into early Friday. Behind it, noticeably cooler air will arrive just in time for the weekend. You might even want to grab a sweatshirt Friday morning, with lows dipping into the 50s in some spots.

Afternoon highs will feel much more like fall, ranging from the mid to upper 70s Friday through Sunday.
