[WATERLOO, Iowa] — Allen Hospital and Allen College concluded their year-long 100th anniversary celebration with a community event over the weekend, named "Fall for Allen."

The event featured an artistic display that included mega-sculptures made from pumpkins and other gardening materials by renowned local artist Bill Close.

Organizers expressed their excitement about the milestone and their anticipation for the future of both Allen College and Allen Hospital.

"The hospital and the college really started with a generous gift from Henry B. Allen, in honor of his wife Mary, really wanting to ensure healthcare for our community," said Jenni Friedly, Market President.
