GEORGIA, Vt. (WCAX) - A federal judge has tossed out a lawsuit against a Vermont gun manufacturer following a Supreme Court ruling earlier this year that limits gunmakers’ liability in shootings.
The case involved a mass shooting at a garlic festival in California in 2019 that left three people dead.

The plaintiffs argued that gun manufacturer Century Arms, which has a facility in Georgia, Vermont, should be held responsible for the misuse of the weapon they made.
Last year, Vermont Federal Judge William Sessions ruled that the case against Century Arms could move forward. But last week, in light of the Supreme Court ruling, Sessions reversed his decision.
